Save Wrexham's Fire Engine / Achubwch injan dân Wrecsam

No photo description available.North Wales Fire and Rescue Authority are proposing to cut one of Wrexham's two whole-time fire engines with the loss of 24 firefighters. Wrexham is the largest conurbation in the North, it has a huge industrial estate and the second largest prison in Europe along with a high number of vulnerable people and deprived communities.

These additional pressures will lead to a lack of cover for area, potentially endangering life and putting property at risk. We support enhanced cover for other parts of north Wales but not at the expense of halving the numbers of firefighters available in Wrexham.

Mae Awdurdod Tân ac Achub Gogledd Cymru yn ystyried torri un o'r ddwy injan dân llawn amser yn Wrecsam a cholli 24 o ddiffoddwyr tân. Wrecsam yw’r dref fwyaf yn y Gogledd, mae ganddi ystâd ddiwydiannol enfawr a’r ail garchar mwyaf yn Ewrop ynghyd â nifer uchel o bobl fregus a chymunedau difreintiedig.

Bydd y pwysau ychwanegol yn arwain at anhawsterau delio â thannau a digwyddiadau brys yn yr ardal, gan beryglu bywydau o bosibl a rhoi eiddo mewn perygl. Rydym yn cefnogi mwy o gyflenwad ar gyfer rhannau eraill o'r Gogledd ond nid ar draul haneru nifer y diffoddwyr tân sydd ar gael yn Wrecsam.

We, the undersigned, call on the North Wales Fire and Rescue Authority not to cut the Wrexham fire appliance and 24 firefighters' jobs.

Rydym ni, sydd wedi llofnodi isod, yn galw ar Awdurdod Tân ac Achub Gogledd Cymru i beidio â thorri peiriant tân Wrecsam a 24 o swyddi diffoddwyr tân.

We must protect our front line Fire Service, with the expanding City in relation to housing, business and hospitality

This is a crucial service and even one significant injury or death caused by money cut back’s is equivalent to murder.

It’s not only front like appliances. If We loose our second Wholetime crew, we risk loosing a Ariel ladder platform, a technical rescue unit and an environmental protection unit – all of which cover the WHOLE of north wales – not just Wrexham

To reduce cover on any emergency service is totally wrong. These are important and necessary . I bet you that if a senior councillor watched their home burn down due to cutbacks. The first thing on the agenda at council meetings, would be to increase fire service cover.
